Howard "Pappy" Mason was a notorious drug kingpin and leader of the "Supreme Team" gang in Queens, New York in the 1980s. He was known for his violent tactics and ability to evade law enforcement. Mason gained notoriety when he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in 1993 for ordering the murder of a corrections officer. He was also implicated in several other murders and drug-related crimes. Despite being behind bars, Mason continued to maintain control over his criminal empire by communicating with his associates through coded messages and threatening those who crossed him. He remains a controversial figure in the history of New York City's drug trade.
